Established 1771
John Dunlop Cumisky P.M.

The script within the case reads
thus
John Dunlop Cumisky
22/05/32 ~ 01/02/08. P.M. John was widely known within and outwith the Province
as a much loved and respected man and Mason. Exemplary in his duties to his
Lodge and to Provincial Grand Lodge. His regalia is displayed here.
John Cumisky was Right Worshipful Master of the Lodge from 1978 to 1980.
This Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire dress apron, worn for many years by John, was purchased for the lodge by our then R.W.M. Bro. S. Hamilton. It became available following ratification of a P.G.L.A. decision to renew all regalia worn by Provincial Office Bearers. Subsequently, our then W.S.W. Bro. A. Hamilton suggested that it could be placed in a presentation case which was agreed by the brethren of the lodge. Bro. R. Mitchell of Lodge Loudoun Kilwinning Newmilns No.51 crafted both the case and brass nameplate. Bro. I. Wright of St.Andrew Kilmarnock No.126 then set to work burnishing and polishing the wood to a brilliant finish. P.M. Ian Ghee of 126 provided the handwritten scripted detail within.
